Our new ColourConnect CPD explores colour's impact on our built spaces and the interactions that take place in them. The unit is divided into four lenses or chapters— Self, Earth, Creativity and Community.

With each chapter, the CPD provides insight into colour trends that have evolved from how we see ourselves in an environment, how we view the earth in our spaces, how we express creativity and how we interact and engage with a community.

Each of these chapters reflects a mood, an idea and an expression.

This presentation addresses the AACA National Standard of Competency for Architects 3.2- Application of creative imagination, aesthetic judgement and critical evaluation in formulating design options- 1 formal CPD Point.

Self Palette

The Self palette helps us to reflect and reconnect, realising the value of solitude in an always-on world. We look within to find purpose and true happiness, simplifying our lives and the world around us.

Creativity Palette

The way we are expressing ourselves is changing and creating dialogue. The Creativity palette supports design that inspires meaningful experiences, encouraging participation and freedom of expression.

Community Palette

In Community, we examine what connects us to each other, both locally and globally. Bridging our divides, design is challenged to be empathetic, resilient and inclusive.

Earth Palette

Earth explores our relationship with the natural world, acknowledging the long-term effects of human impact. Here, we examine the extraordinary challenges of design for a rapidly changing planet.

1 Formal CPD Point

ColourConnect enables participants to achieve 1 formal CPD point upon completion from the AIA., when a formal assessment is completed after viewing the presentation. This presentation addresses the AACA National Standard of Competency for Architects 3.2- Application of creative imagination, aesthetic judgement and critical evaluation in formulating design options.
